BMFA Charity Distance Challenge – Sunday 2 July

You may have noticed a theme to today’s flurry of News.

We wanted another BBQ and Wacky Races club get together. At least in part because of the issues around the loss of Rougham, but also the weather has singularly kept many from wanting to go flying.

As luck would have it, the BMFA are organising a charity event that can take place over a whole week. 1 – 9 July 2023. It all ties in nicely.

This is a BBQ with a bit of a difference. Ron Spencer will be at the grill. I hope others too. But this one will be funded only from contributions, with any surplus going to the Air Ambulance.

Now, the Wacky Races and general flying plus assisted flights for visitors (which includes our landlord and family) may be enough of an attraction.

But, if we are going to take part in the BMFA Charity Distance Challenge we must register as a club.

Take a look at the leaflet (click on the image below); have a look at the Events 2023 tab. Do you want the club to participate?

You could tell any committee member what you would like us to do, put your name down on Teamup or send me a note. But please let us know – there is a fair bit of admin if we do it. Which is fine if members want it. A pain if not.

The BBQ and Hanky Planky Wacky Races will take place regardless.
