Latest Update – 1st Wacky Combat event + BBQ, Sunday 5 May 2024
Wacky Combat
The first events will take place on Sunday 5 May 2024. This will be ‘collective sessions’ with teams competing for the honours, assuming you can keep your eye on which aircraft is yours. The event will be accompanied by a BBQ, courtesy of Ron Spencer – bring food to cook and share, or pay as you go.
Meanwhile, it’s time to build your machine and practice a little. Have a look at the home of Wacky Combat 2024.
Club Meetings
Full list of monthly club meetings is on the Members Only tab. Generally held on the last Monday of every month at Moreton Hall or Knettishall if evening light and weather forecast permits, 7:30pm start.
The AGM & prize giving precedes the November meeting, 25 November @7:30pm.
Events in Date Order
Sunday 5 May 2024 – Wacky Combat kick-off
Very possibly literally – this is combat.
- Team competitions
- BBQ by Ron Spencer – bring food to share or pay as you go
- Only a Wacky Combat foamie is worth the risk involved
Saturday 15 June 2024 – F3A Competition
Knettishall is booked out all day to the UKF3A guys.
- BMFC Club members are more than welcome to enter for a small fee and a lot of experience
- It would also be useful for a few to step forward and provide club knowledge/support/spotting – be useful, enjoy the day, gain some knowledge and get a free BBQ
- You may also attend just for the fun of it without contributing support. You still get the enjoyment and insight…but the BBQ will cost you. Please give Peter Jenkins forewarning if you intend to visit so that he can adjust catering
- It may be possible to fly whilst the competitors pause for lunch
- Usual access rules, enabling competition flying to be continuous and without cars passing across the flight line
