Whoops, Honington flying site closes 1 October 2022

Out of the blue, after 60 years the RAF have cancelled our arrangement to fly at their Honington site with near immediate effect.

The following text was sent to members by Vic on 15 August 2022:

‘Gents,
The next Club Night will be our last “summer evening” outdoors at Rougham (weather permitting). I have attached an Agenda and the Minutes of last month’s Club Night. 

I also need to make you aware that our Licence to Operate at RAF Honington has been withdrawn with effect from 1st October. I have also attached an explanation regarding the loss of the licence.
