Knettisall Hut – Bad News/Good News

The work to replenish the shed at Knettishall has led to the building being condemned and disposed of.

A rat infestation brought about probably by the exceptional soaking winter, on top of the wear and tear we were concerned about makes the shed unfit…even for us. The floor and walls are rotten and beyond practical repair.

The good news is that the committee have put together a temporary fix for lavatory and shelter facilities. The temporary building should be in place this weekend. Fitting the loo will be completed over the next couple of weeks. Many thanks to James Ladell and a helper or two.

On top of that, the committee are working on a proposition for a substantial improvement to our club facilities that will make a major contribution to developing the site. When the plan is ready, it will be put to the membership at an EGM for discussion and a vote, probably in May.
