Hi Guys

As some of you will know, on Sat 3rd June, the BMFC will be hosting a round of the National League for Precision Aerobatics called in FAI speak, F3A.  Currently, there are 2 members of the UK team who will be flying in the competition.  In addition, 2 BMFC members, Mark Allen and Peter Jenkins, will also be pitting our wits against impossible odds!

It would be great if I could have some volunteers to provide the spotter function – 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.  We will be starting early, first flight at or soon after 9 am and will be providing bacon and egg butties for breakfast – free for those volunteering.  The food will be available from 8.30 am.  A free bbq lunch will also be provided for volunteers with free tea and coffee all day.  We aim to finish flying around 4 pm.

The gate at the east side of the airfield will be closed at 08:45.  If you arrive after this time, please wait at the end of the tree line to be waved in.  We tend to fly almost continuously so be prepared to wait to be waved in right after an aircraft has landed as one will be taking off almost immediately.  Alternatively, enter and leave via the factory gate and drive round the peri track to come up towards the parked cars.  Please do not use the main runway route!

If you would like to help, or come and spectate and see some top class aerobatic flying, please contact Peter Jenkins (peterjenkinsbmfc@btinternet.com or 07725-314950) as soon as possible.  If you are coming to spectate and would like to have lunch, again, please contact Peter at least a couple of days beforehand so we can make provision for the extra mouths to be fed.  Payment on the day for the BBQ, tea and coffee (and breakfast) will be £5 (NB volunteers get fed and watered free!).

Best regards

Peter
