Friends and Family – take part

The World Record

All visitors can join the record attempt – so long as they have a small, light, ‘free flight’ aeroplane. I have a couple of spares, available for a donation.

To get ahead of the game, Aldi and Lidl occasionally sell something very suitable. Also available  from The Tank Museum for about £4 +p&p.

Note that even chuck glider pilots need to register with the coordinator (Ian McDowell, bright green jacket), ahead of time or at Knettishall on the day, before 11:15.

The free flight blighters will be marshalled before 12:00, ready for a mass throw at 12:00, by our flight controller, Ron Gray.

Experience Flights

Before 11:30 and after 12:30 guests can try their hand at flying a radio control aeroplane with a flight under the supervision of an experienced pilot. Ron Gray is the man to collar on the day.

If these flights are able to go ahead (weather may not co-operate of course) then other general flying will be suspended whilst the novice is flying.
