B J Craft Anthem with TMCR, Part 8, Peter Jenkins

How wrong can I be? Flight 22 came with lessons for all model flyers.

A lesson for us all – take nowt for granted. A recent article in RCM&E (‘Servo Science’ by Mike Freeman, July 2023) will help you define the servos needed for any particular purpose. More than that, beware of the geometry of linkages and the alignment of control horns. On top of that, look carefully at the geometry when extreme movement is applied to a surface. (A much older article by Mike, ‘Control Linkage Geometry’ was published by RCM&E in July 2018, which I thought was just ‘nice to know’, but may actually save your aircraft).

AČ™ a witness to flight 22 I have to say that I was incredibly impressed. Impressed with the calm control demonstrated by Peter. And, impressed with the innate capability of a well trimmed aircraft.
