Knettishall Procedures Revamp – use of the container

‘Hi gents,
Just a quick addendum to my previous mailing:

The new radio scanner was in use for the first time yesterday and proved it’s worth when an announced visitor joined the pattern, flew a circuit and carried out a touch-and-go before departing once more. His initial call as he approached the overhead was heard and there was ample time available to recover any airborne models before he reached finals!

The container is in a pretty sorry state at the moment due to water ingress from the toilet cistern. This has been drained (thanks Mike) and the inlet and outlet has been re-routed so that there is no longer any feed to the container. It is not pleasant in the container due to the leak but we will have to wait for a settled spell to clear up the mess. In the meantime, access to the container should be restricted as follows:

1 Only access on arrival to obtain the radio scanner.
2 Access once more in order to return the scanner at the end of flying.

Regards,
Vic’
