F3A Competition, Knettishall 18 June 2022

Peter Jenkins – organiser, participant and reporter, has kindly put together a summary of this challenging event.

Challenging not just because the flying is technically demanding – this time the weather joined in. From shorts and T-shirts to all the gear the participants could muster in a few hours…in mid June, and days after a heatwave.

This report, unusually, focusses on a description of the event and the results. But fear not, after 2 pages of the important stuff there are a further 13 pages of photographs.

Sadly, ‘Richard the BBQ’ was one of those not to foresee a return to winter.
