BBQ & World Record Attempt 1st Photos

I am hoping that everyone had a brilliant day. I certainly enjoyed it and everyone I managed to speak to gave the day a thumbs up.

I particularly want to thank the substantial team who contributed in ways great and small over a longish period to put the show on.

Very special mention of Ron Gray, Flight Controller, for the clockwork precision of organising both the RC flyers and the chuck glider group.

Excellent BBQ provision by Steve Braden and Ron Spencer.

And, above all, fantastic participation from Club Members and hangers on for the big event at 12:00 noon. My current count is that we had 21 BMFA members in the air on the dot of 12:00. I am still waiting on a couple of membership numbers, so that’s not yet verifiable…but well done and thanks to all who made the day so good.

The still shot shows many of the participants – some had rushed off to prepare lunch etc;. And, just look at the brief video of the chuck glider contingent.

Sad to say, I never managed to count attendance, but guess it was above 50. We were certainly close to running out of parking space!
